Blood on-line detector calibration file

The calibration of blood radioactivity curve measured using on-line detector ("blood pump") requires a file containing the measured calibration coefficients. PET physicists are responsible of the calibration measurements and the updating of the calibration file, currently in /pet-storage/Lab/plasma/bsampler_calibration/pump_cal.dat (UNIX) or S:\Lab\plasma\bsampler_calibration\pump_cal.dat (Windows).

The calibration file is in ASCII text format, and it contains the calibration dates, and the detector-to-gamma counter coefficients for each of the three different on-line detectors (3rd one was installed during summer 2004), and the common gamma counter-to-pet coefficient.

The contents of the on-line detector calibration file on autumn 2004 was:

For accurate calibration, also the isotope of the tracer must be known to apply a correct branching ratio correction. All calibration steps  can be done using program blo2kbq.
