Frame time problem in GE Advance images

For an unknown reason, in some of the dynamic GE Advance images (converted to ECAT format) one or two frame times are overlapping slightly (1 or 2 s). This may cause a problems in summing (e.g. "Error in integration") or model calculations (e.g. "Error: cannot interpolate input data"), but can be corrected using eframe.

In the following example uz1234dy1.img is a dynamic image file causing problems, and uz1233dy1.img is a similar image file (study with the same study protocol, frame number and correct frame times).

  1. Check that you have backup copies of both of the image files in another place before you continue with the following steps.
  2. Check that the problem was caused by frame times with the following command:
    eframe uz1234dy1.img
  3. Extract the correct frame times from an other similar dynamic PET image to a frame file; make sure that there is no previous frame file with the same filename:
    eframe uz1233dy1.img uz1233dy1.frames
  4. Replace the wrong frame times by the correct ones:
    eframe uz1234dy1.img uz1233dy1.frames

The same error may cause problems also with regional tissue data. DFT files can be corrected similarly using dftframe.
