Analysis of [18F]F- bone scans

The recommended analysis method for quantification of fluoride bone metabolism is Gjedde-Patlak analysis based on its simplicity and reliability even in areas with low metabolic activity (Brenner et al. 2004). Precision and intraclass correlation for results of Gjedde-Patlak analysis are comparable to compartmental model fitting and biochemical markers (Frost et al. 2008). Linear portion of the plot is reached at about 10 min after injection, therefore the total study length can be less than one hour.
